The Nadarajah–Haghighi (NH) distribution has been applied in diverse sectors in modeling lifespan data. By applying several techniques such as exponentiation, transformation, transmutation, trnasformed-transformer and compounding mechanisms among others, to existing distributions, academicians can construct new models that exhibit greater flexibility
than the parent distribution and can better fit broadly real data sets. In this work, a survey of generalizations of NH distributions have been presented. The essential properties of the modified distributions encompassing explicit expressions for probability density, cumulative distribution and survival functions have been presented. A number of conventional estimation
techniques have also been reviewed.
