About the Journal

JCASE is a unique periodic publication created to bring unique ideas at the intersection of creative arts and social enterprise. The creative arts exist within different realms and the notion of “social good” is still central to its mission. Amidst the desire for the creative arts to thrive, the questions of sustainability, capital, management and investment are critical. Thus, might the intersection and conflux of creative arts and social enterprise offer fresh insights into ways to rethink, reshape and reformat the creative arts. It invites us to question and reimagine new narratives, processes and discourses with the creative art and reimagine its future through a different set of lenses.

This journal offers researchers, artists, policy makers, practitioners across disciplines at different stages of career to think together and reimagine what’s possible when the creative art considers social enterprise as an outlet to experiment.

Further, JCASE embraces the Festival of Arts and Discourse’s spirit of ‘town and gown’ meet. Thus, JCASE welcomes writing styles that draw readers, authors and audience from diverse backgrounds. JCASE understands that publishing can be a challenging task, hence we have different sections to encourage broad base thinking and perspectives. JCASE publishes both traditional and non-traditional
